Is Downtown Still Worth It?

The answer is yes, according to a realtor who bought a pre-construction unit at Dundas and River.

A 48-year-old realtor called Giuseppe Flammia has been in the real estate market since the ’90s. Recently, he purchased a one-bedroom pre-construction condo at Dundas and River. In November 2020, he was on the lookout for a new place to live. He used to live at Bayview and Front, but the pandemic caused the market prices to go down. This was how he stumbled upon the development and made up his mind to buy the unit that faces Broccolini Park.

The development had a yoga studio, a rooftop terrace, and co-working spaces. However, what really drew him in was the 300 sq. ft. outdoor terrace of the unit. While he won’t be able to move before November 2022, Flammia is looking forward to what the future holds. A city dweller, he has no plans to join those packing their bags to leave the city. Toronto East is an exciting place, which is perfect for him. With the prices going back up, he feels confident that he made the right choice. Downtown is truly the place to be for people like Flammia.
